A long time friend of mine has been friends with a member of Phish for years. This past weekend, at a wedding party for another friend of the band, it was revealed that Phish will reunite for a tour next Summer. Readers can give this information whatever credibility they feel it deserves. However, this source has never provided me with incorrect information about any Phish-related non-public news or any music news for that matter.

I talked to another reliable source a week ago that said this was also a likely hood. I say, bring it on.

Although I think the summer 2009 timing in the best guess at this point, I disagree this has been finalized. Recent interview / press releases from all members (excluding Fishman who appears to be remaining quiet – emails excluded) repeat the same thing… no decision, need to get together to discuss, etc.

I personally don’t believe your “source”, if they truly do exist…

while I think your blog and recordings are a wonderful part of life..i think you posting stuff like this..is NUTS.

Yet, at the other spectrum of this story… I think from the video’s of Trey in Brooklyn on youtube..he seems to be itching to get back out there with the boys. We can all pray.

if phish got back together that would be great. i mean the guys can preform together like no one business.i mean they can play together better than anyone ever has. Trey is prob the best guirtest playing now, mike is another bass prodigty. fishmans another top drummer of our time and page is beautiful at the keys and (Together) you guys are a unstopable force,(together). now im only 22 years old so i wasnt able to be a longtime suscriber but from the first time listing to them when i was 15 up to now, i cant see why not to get back together. they have the best instrumtal music, philisophy lyric to songs. sends chills up my spine. even tho i would like to see them put on a festival of themself cause i think we all are very over due, i think i would like the tourdates better tho at first cause a festival would draw too many phans to one concert. cause hosntly who wouldnt be their. so trey, mike, jon, and page if your reading and talking about reuniting i think 09 would be the year for it. do it for the phans, do it for the country, and most of all do it for the music.

or maybe a special NYE reunion show into 09? huuuuuhhh????????
