As the Summer season comes to a close, its time for a look at the Fall taping schedule. The Summer was very good to NYCTaper, as we have covered an abundant amount of amazing shows, in particular within the last few weeks. We have also welcomed Johnny as a full-time contributor — his Black Keys recording from last week has been incredibly popular and indicates the kind of superb recordings he will provide.
[Below is the updated schedule. We expect to attend and record these events. However, circumstances will prevent some of these from being done, and others will be added in the meantime.]
If you want nyctaper to record your band, a band you represent, a show you’re promoting, or even your favorite band in the world, get me on the list and make sure everyone who needs to approve of the recording gives permission. Also, remember I’m doing this all for free — the recordings, the post-production, the reviews, the links, etc. — so treat me fairly.

I can’t wait to hear the Parts and Labor recording.
I don’t think your recording enough shows on 10/15. You should also hit the Deerhunter Webster show. :)
I might have to if tonight gets rained out.
Ah, I was hoping you would have done the Baseball Project at Maxwell’s. Great show.
We did a lengthy Baseball Project recording last Fall http://www.nyctaper.com/?p=1693
We recorded two shows last night, Deerhunter and Real Estate at Pier 54 for me, and Maps & Atlases for acidjack.
No Pavement shows????
No Broken Social Scene????
Only one night of My Morning Jacket????
Other than that, schedule looks great!
Broken Social Scene does not permit audio recording of their shows. Pavement is still unclear, although possible.
We may be doing two dates of MMJ, it depends upon acidjack and Johnny’s schedules.
Thanks for the quick response. Hopefully you can make Pavement happen. Either way, this is an awesome site.
Dungen – any of the dates please!!! there are not enough live recordings circulated.
Dungen dates were released on the same day I posted this. I believe we are doing Dungen on Oct 14th at Knitting Factory. We don’t have enough tapers to be able to do everything we want to cover on the 15th.
There is a live Dungen recording on this site, that acidjack recorded almost exactly a year ago: http://www.nyctaper.com/?p=1588
awesome to hear. thanks for the quick response and the other recording!
Is GbV going to be recorded?
The show is at Terminal 5, so probably not.
Hopefully they’ll play a different venue next time.
PLEASE REC PANDA BEAR 2MORROW!!!!
Hi guys, awesome site. Did you manage to record the recent Black Mountain show? I’m seeing them tomorrow in rainy Northern England.
Cheers!
Just wondering if the Aug 30th Black Mountain show will be posted soon?
I was hoping you’d be going to one of Florence + The Machine’s shows at Terminal 5 in November?
Hey NYC, Are there any palns to cover the Moon Duo / Messages / Crystal Stilts gig happening at the Knitting Factory on Saturday 17th September ?? Imagine this would be a great show…
Best,
Marc (UK)
any chance you’ll add the 10/21 My Morning Jacket show? =)
Thanks for making the Pavement shows happen. I was not expecting that.
Where can i find the MMJ Terminal 5 show?
Blood Red Shoes are a MUST SEE UK band…. they should be hitting NY any time around now.
Did you record the Black Mountain show? If so, when will we hear it?
We recorded it, but the band did not like their performance and did not permit us to post it, unfortunately.
Was the Julian Lynch show recorded? Is it going to be put up?
Sadly I wasn’t able to make it to the show, but I hope to catch Julian around town in the near future.
Thanks for the response. Would really like to hear one of his sets. His live video on pitchfork is terrific.
