Pylon was on heavy rotation on college radio in the early 80s in Atlanta when I was in high school. You couldn't go a day without hearing "M Train" several times. Finally got to see them in the late 80s at the 40 Watt Club in Athens and I couldn't believe the distinctive power of Michael's bass and the telepathy he shared with the drummer. Unfortunately, the acoustics at the 40 Watt left much to be desired, so it's great to hear these songs with more clarity. Great to see that "Gyrate" has finally been released on CD.
