Roger Waters Returns to Manhattan 2007 – Lossless Download

May 31, 2007
By

There are times when the planets align, and everything goes right. There are also times when history repeats itself. Both phenomena occurred on May 30, 2007 at Madison Square Garden, as Roger Waters returned to New York for the tail end of the lengthy Dark Side of the Moon tour. As in September, the concert was superb, and as you’ll find below, the recording conditions were optimal.

I recorded this concert from almost the exact position as the September 12, 2006 recording, and used comparable equipment. As a result, the recording is a faithful capture of the soundscape in the best sonic seat in the house–absolute center, about 30 feet in front of the Soundboard.

This recording is no longer available at nyctaper. You can probably find it on several sites on the web.

To Dan, I was the who made a comment on the Dime going on about the Philly Show 6-1-07 being the best show to date, I was wrong, dead wrong. Your Dark Side Show 5-30-07 you posted is friggin great. I have your 9-12-06 show and knew I would not be disappointed with the sound quality of this show. The Band was a year tighter. You were right the DPA’s are the best. Your upload was easy to use also. Thank You, your efforts are really appreciated down in Philly. By the way, your show is now posted on the Dime.

Sadly I missed an opportunity to see Roger Waters in California so I definitely appreciate this. I am 38 years old and I first saw Pink Floyd at the ripe age of 12 for The Wall tour at Nassau Collesium. To this very day it was the very best concert I have ever been to. A dream of mine is for the gang to go back on tour as Pink Floyd, especially after seeing them during the Live 8 performance. One can only dream …
