Tomorrow is “Chancellor’s Day” for the entire NYC Public School system, which essentially means that the city will be overrun by kids! Union Hall is offering a place for kids to go, as kid-rockers Tiny Masters of Today will play a matinee show.
What: Chancellor’s Day Matinee Show by Tiny Masters of Today
Where: Union Hall Brooklyn [MAP]
When: Thursday June 5
Time: 4 p.m.
We experienced this brother-sister combo in an opening slot for Kimya Dawson at Southpaw in January. Anchored by drummer Russell Simins of the Jon Spencer Blues Explosion, the siblings offered a pop-oriented punk ethos with a pre-teen sensibility. Kimya guested on two songs, and the band worked through most of their available material. Our recording is offered below. Enjoy!
