As we turned the corner of the security problems that threatened the site, nyctaper.com is completely overhauled. All posts now have flac and mp3 links and all of the missing media has been restored. The site work now complete, we are back to recording everything possible with the full crew on board. So, we are in a need of a new schedule since there have been so many new shows announced recently.
[Caveat: Below is the updated schedule. We expect to attend and record these events. However, circumstances will prevent some of these from being done, and others will be added in the meantime.]
If you want nyctaper to record your band, a band you represent, a show you’re promoting, or even your favorite band in the world, get us in the door and make sure everyone who needs to approve of the recording gives permission. Also, remember each person on the nyctaper crew does this all for free, the recordings, the post-production, the reviews, the links, etc., so treat us fairly.

how about darwin deez at the bowery ballroom on april 3? they are down with recording and put on a great show.
Two terrific psychedelic space rock bands from Chile, Föllakzoid and Holydrug Couple, are playing Mercury Lounge on March 21. Whether it’s to record or just to enjoy the show, I highly recommend catching these bands now (both touring behind new albums too).
NYCTaper, thank you for all the hard work that goes into this site -your sweet AUDs have connected me to several new artists since I discovered this place last year (I’ve even purchased some new music as well). You’ve quite a spring taping schedule -have a blast!
What the hell, here’s the NYTimes article that turned me on to Chile’s Follakzoid and Holydrug Couple (I can’t believe I discovered them thru the Times):

I’ll be at that show and have permission to record. Great bands.
Man awesome on the Follakzoid news and notice GOAT as well. Also recommend a UK band coming over called The Cult Of Dom Keller that are playing the 21st April at Grassland with The Vandelles.
Did you catch Ingrid Laubrock few weeks back?
Unfortunately not. I never heard back from the venue about whether we would be permitted to record in there.
You guys got the Men show, right? When do you think that’ll be up on the site?
It was recorded. It will be up to The Men whether it will be posted or not. They have a full copy to review.
Thanks for getting back to me, I hope they approve of it!
Fingers crossed for a Goat AUD to drop. (Was hoping one for Föllakzoid would surface but I guess that didn’t pan out). Gave your recent Crowes show a spin and was impressed by the sound quality in spite of the crappy venue, Terminal 5.
Thanks for continuing to share such a wealth of music!
GOAT will definitely be posted, probably Monday.
I missed the Follakzoid show. Didn’t want to but it was unavoidable.
