Recordings will be posted at this site for each of those concerts that nyctaper attends and records. As with any future plans, some of these concerts may not be attended or recorded by nyctaper, for reasons out of my control. Please check back to the site often for updates as other concerts will be added.

I have received numerous requests to attend and record certain specific events. Please bear in mind that my time and energy are limited. Specific requests are more likely to be successful if accompanied by a guest list pass, complimentary ticket or other incentives.

I promised my buddy DigitalMan that if a decent taping seat near face value popped up, I would go and record. I have found that ticket.

so if you rushed back from Canada on the 10th of September you’d get to the Bowery Ballroom just in time to record THE VEILS – an excellent – but underated – band……..!

Recording You Am I, huh? That’ll be much appreciated by me and hopefully introduce them to more non-Australians.
    Cheers!

Yes, I accepted a free ticket from a Figgs fan to record them, and the You Am I set was included in the list. I’ve never heard them, but have heard only positive reviews.
And yes, one of the goals of this site is to expose bands to wider audiences and provide them with promotion.

Sorry, the Police ticket prices were just too ridiculous. There is an excellent recording done by my friend “TaperAdvocat” on dimeadozen.org.

Thanks for the White Stripes and Wilco gigs. Was really pleased to see Wilco as I missed out on tickets to see them here in NYC (but ended up going to see them in Boston instead).

Disappointed to see that you were’nt able to get You Am I but if anyone is interested you can download some live tracks and and one of the concerts from their website.

Definitely one of the best Aussie bands I’ve seen.
