We will be celebrating our 10th anniversary on May 11, but there’s no NYCTaper Presents show to go along with that, unfortunately. Meanwhile, we’ll just keep taping and posting shows until this thing runs it course, whenever that might be.
Caveat: Below is the updated schedule. We expect to attend and record these events. However, circumstances will prevent some of these from being done, and others will be added in the meantime. Feel free to make suggestions or point out shows we missed or invite us to your shows!

Great band from Chicago called Crown Larks is playing tomorrow night (May 10th) at The Glove https://crownlarks.bandcamp.com/
Did you get to the Decemberists at Brooklyn Steel in mid-April?
No, the band and its lead singer never responded to requests for permission.

May 17 Union Pool, Brooklyn, NY
or
Jun 7 Mercury Lounge (Late Show), New York, NY
If a band like the Decembrists have already sent a message to archive.org that they are open for anyone taping them, is it still your policy that they have to give you specific permission? Just wondering.
That particular venue requires advanced communication that includes specific permission from the band. I would not have been able to bring in equipment without notifying the venue in advance and I could not do that when the band and the singer failed to respond to requests for permission.
I see.
It’s a shame they wouldn’t even respond to say yes or no, especially when the band and the lead singer should know who you are by now.
Thanks for all the work you and your crew do (and I can only imagine how much work is actually involved — probably much more than an outsider would think)!
