Love is All was so impressive at Cake Shop that we just had to see them again before they left NYC for Sweden. We missed the Market Hotel show, but luckily managed to catch the last half of the Bowery set last night after taking a cab downtown right after Sigur Ros let out.

Arriving right before the “I Ran” cover, we heard a good thirty minutes of energy which included two encores (“Felt Tip” and “Spinning and Scratching” not on the written setlist below). The crowd was significantly more sedate than the Cake Shop crazies, and seemed to include more casual fans — those who weren’t involved enough to get a hard ticket (Cake Shop) or travel to a diy venue in Bushwick. Although she couldn’t jump into and sing among crowd from an elevated stage, Josephine nevertheless strutted and shimmied her way through the set.

Love is All will be back. They have new songs and are working on a new CD. We can’t wait.
