The new album from Ted Leo and the Pharmacists is called Brutalist Bricks and today it was released on Matador Records. Last night Ted performed “The Mighty Sparrow” on Jimmy Fallon and it was quite excellent — see it above. Tonight, Ted and the Pharmacists are playing a CD release show at The Knitting Factory in Brooklyn, which is billed as a karaoke show. Tonight is also the first night of a tour that will bring Ted back to NYC on April 9, where the band will play at Irving Plaza with Obits and Screaming Females also on the bill. NYCTaper will be there to record the show on April 9.
